Altvater German Shepherds is a dream turned reality that has been in the making for decades.  We love all animals, all dogs, but especially German Shepherd Dogs.  Our mission is to try and preserve what makes the German Shepherd such an amazing dog, and at the same time try to free as many dogs as possible from the ailments that can affect them due to irresponsible breeding.  

We at Altvater German Shepherds also would like to state that adoption is always a good option.  If you are looking for a new family member there are many dogs of all breeds and sizes that will make wonderful pets and give lots of love.  We are involved with different rescue efforts and will be happy to redirect to shelters or rescue groups should you not be looking for a working quality dog and just want to add a family member.
